Kepley K9 Strategic Scent Stimulant

IT'S GO TIME

Kepley K9 Strategic Scent Stimulant is an easy to use solution that inspires dogs to “go” - to save time “going” for more time on the go! By providing the organic molecules dogs seek when “sniffing” before excretion.

Most dog owners have experienced endless delays from dawdling and sniffing dogs despite pleading from the opposite end of the leash. Kepley K9 Strategic Scent Stimulant is designed to stimulate dog defecation by providing the organics and botanicals dogs search for when sniffing and searching during walks. Our groundwork shows that Kepley K9 helps dogs find these specific scents, which are disappearing in modern environments, allowing them to focus and complete the purpose of daily walks more quickly. Ultimately, this saves time for you, the dog owner, and reduces distractions and anxiety for the dogs as they perform this scent search. We call it the solution for the dawdling dog!

As a dog owner, you’ve likely walked with your dog as they sniff, search, and meander until they finally find inspiration to relieve themselves. The situation can be understandably exasperating, especially with busy work or school schedules, imminent bad weather, other things to do, or even if you just want to keep walking and enjoy your dog while getting some exercise for both of you. We’ve all been there, and it can be incredibly frustrating.

As trying as that is from the human viewpoint, imagine how the situation must be for your dog. They have a limited amount of time to find the perfect spot to go or risk remaining indoors all day until you can return. For a newly adopted rescue, one too many “accidents” could eventually risk heartbreaking choices and conflict among human family members along the way. But why do they deliberate so long before going? The answer lies in olfactory science.

In natural environments in every corner of the globe, there are the same organic and botanical molecules that settle on the ground and break down over time. These scents are instinctively recognized and sought by dogs as they sniff, and exposure to these scents help to stimulate their gastrointestinal chemistry needed to relax and relieve themselves. Unfortunately for dogs, in today’s modern society, these molecules are becoming less abundant with increasingly pristine community environments - and are virtually absent in indoor spaces. These dynamics can make the hunt for these scents longer and more arduous.

Kepley K9 Strategic Scent Solution offers an answer to the problem. We have identified these organic molecules and formulated them in a safe, easy-to-use solution that provides your dog with a plume of scents to satisfy their search. These ubiquitous yet specific molecules immediately focus and reassure the dog of being “outside” when given access to an appropriate location, typically “inspiring” the dog to rapidly relieve themselves after a normal period of indoor confinement after feeding and digestion.

The product is easily applied by placing a drop on the paw and allowing the dog access to the relief area or going on a walk.

Directions for Use:

Shake well before use.
Place one (1) drop on dog's front paw.
Immediately allow access to relief location.

The canine’s sense of smell is astounding especially by human comparisons. Renowned dog cognition expert Dr. Alexandra Horowitz wrote in her seminal book, Inside of a Dog, that if our morning cup of coffee contained a teaspoon of sugar we might notice it, but that a dog could notice a teaspoon of sugar in a body of water equal to two Olympic-sized pools. That acuity exceeds our own sense of smell ten-thousand fold, and the part of a dog’s brain that processes olfactory sensations is 40 times larger relative to that of a human.

Contextually, it is evident how important smell is for a dog in order to interact and interpret the world in which they live. With vast differences in perception, a typical street sidewalk would look incredibly different to a dog than to a human. The plume of organic scents in Kepley K9 Strategic Scent Stimulant can preempt potentially distracting odors with the ones that can allow your dog to focus on the business at hand.

Humans primarily perceive the world through vision with a large percentage of sensory input coming from the eyes. However, dogs rely mostly on scent with 50 times more olfactory receptors than humans.

Dogs have exceptional awareness likening the scents from a quiet suburban street to a cacophony of honking horns and sirens for the human ear. Often such distractions are time-consuming and frustrating for both dog and handler.

Kepley K9 provides a plume of organic scents that stimulate a dog's gastrointestinal chemistry to help the dog focus and rapidly relive itself in the midst of the diversions and distractions of the outside world.

The Kepley BioSystems team has spent years researching olfactory cues in animals and their resulting behaviors through academically-driven field evaluations. We applied this same rigorous testing ethic to the development Kepley K9 Strategic Scent Stimulant, validating the product in a multitude of breeds and sizes of dogs, as well as environmental conditions.

The results and findings of our testing has been published in the open-access Journal of Animal Health and Behavioural Sciences in the article, "Olfactory Mediation of Canine Gastrointestinal Neurobiology" (see more information below).

In initial field trials, 75% of participants perceived that Kepley K9 Strategic Scent Stimulant inspired their dogs to "go" more reliably and in less overall time.

Used routinely, Kepley K9 Strategic Scent Stimulant showed up to an 86% reduction in elapsed time from access to relief area until defecation when compared to an untreated outdoor routine.

Every year, more than 3 million dogs find their way to shelters, where conditions often deprive them of the “outdoor” and natural scents dogs have characteristically “sniffed” throughout their evolution. It would follow that the absence of these scents – often replaced with strong disinfectants and kennel cleaning chemicals - could combine to diminish a dog’s ability to differentiate between indoor and outside spaces. For dogs that do find a home, one of the leading causes of relinquishment back to shelters is house soiling.

We believe our product can help humans orient their newly adopted rescues to clearly distinguish being indoors from being outside through our olfactory science. Simply placing a drop on the dog’s paw before going outside provides a specific plume of organics and botanicals that stimulate a dog’s olfactory and gastric systems. In short, it’s a backyard in a bottle that can reassure even an anxious rescue when given access to a safe, appropriate space for relief – lessening the risk of an indoor accident with every application.

With every purchase, we will donate this product to shelters to help adopting owners orient their rescues to their new home, offering the best possible chance at a life-long and healthy relationship between human and canine.
